Includes studio portraits and snapshots of multiple generations of the family of Donaldina Cameron, with an emphasis on her
Scottish antecedents. Albums contain mounted 19th century portrait photographs. Folders contain snapshots and portraits. One
snapshot with caption "Alley beside 920" depicts a group of Chinese children gathered around an adult, perhaps Cameron; no
other photographs document the Presbyterian Chinese Mission nor Cameron's work with the Chinese community of San Francisco.
Two family group portraits and a farm scene were taken in Puente (now La Puente), Calif. in the late 19th century. Two snapshots
depict scenes at a Ming Quang home under construction.

Donaldina MacKenzie Cameron (born 1869, New Zealand; died 1968, Palo Alto, Calif.) was associated with the Presbyterian Chinese
Mission at 920 Sacramento Street, San Francisco and advocated for the rescue of Chinese girls held as slaves in Chinatown.
Published works include Strange True Stories of Chinese Slave Girls and Stories of Rescues: Occidental Board Mission Home
for Chinese Girls (1920).
